J365news, Julurpadu(Bhadradri kothagudem,TS): The residents of Julurpadu Mandal are facing severe delays in getting their official work done at the Mandal Revenue Office (MRO) due to the irregular attendance of employees. Many of the staff members, who commute daily from Khammam and Kothagudem, have not been attending duties on time, causing frustration among the local populace .Citizens have reported that they are often forced to wait for long hours or even return without having their work completed, leading to unnecessary delays in services such as issuance of certificates, land records, and other government-related tasks. When questioned about their tardiness, employees frequently cite field visits as the reason for their late arrival at the office. However, locals are complaining that this is becoming a routine excuse, and there seems to be a lack of accountability or proper monitoring system in place.
Call for Stricter Monitoring Mechanisms
Many in the community are urging the authorities to implement stricter control measures, including the installation of biometric attendance systems to ensure that employees report to duty on time. Residents believe that such measures would bring much-needed discipline and transparency to the MRO office. According to The Telangana Public Employment (Recording and Verification of Attendance) Act, 2021, it is mandatory for all government employees to maintain punctuality and regularity in their attendance. The Act enables the government to impose disciplinary actions, including suspension, against those who neglect their duties or are found guilty of misconduct. If such neglige-nce continues, these employees could face strict action, including pay cuts, suspension, or even termination, as per the Civil Services Conduct Rules.Despite act inplace MRO office employees reamain neglegent.

The people of Julurpadu are now appealing to higher authorities to step in and address the situation, urging for regular inspections and stricter monitoring of employees. A local resident remarked, “The lack of a proper monitoring system is affecting our daily lives. Simple tasks that should take hours are being dragged on for days. Authorities need to ensure these employees are held accountable for their duties.” Local representatives are also pushing for action, stating that delays in government services are unacceptable and that immediate steps should be taken to address the issue. The public now awaits a swift response from the higher authorities to bring back efficiency and proper functioning to the MRO office in Julurpadu Mandal.
