J365 NEWS,Bhadrachalam: On Saturday, Islavat Lakshman Naik, the founding president of TSTTF, addressed the issues faced by CRT (Contract Residential Teachers) working in Ashram Schools, who have been on an indefinite strike for the past 13 days. He mentioned that the teachers are staging an indefinite dharna in front of various ITDA offices, demanding the resolution of nine key issues related to CRTs.
Lakshman Naik held a 40-minute telephonic conversation with Tribal Welfare Additional Director Sarvesh Reddy regarding the matter. Dur-ing the discussion, Lakshman Naik urged Sarvesh Reddy to ensure that the government does not face negative repercussions due to these unresolved issues. He emphasized the need to bring the matter to the government’s attention and work towards a resolution, assuring that they would also contribute to the effort.
In response, Sarvesh Reddy stated that efforts were being made to resolve the issues. He added that discussions might be held with the Secret ary and CRT leaders to address the demands.Lakshman Naik insisted that the legitimate demands of the CRTs should be implemented imm- ediately. He urged the Tribal Welfare Departm ent’s Principal Secretary to resolve the issues and deliver justice to the contract teachers. He also warned that if the problems are not addres sed, the government would have to bear responsibility for any consequences in the state.
