A theft case reported in Marwadi Bazaar was swiftly solved within five hours by Mahabubabad Town and CCS police. At around 10 AM, Kondle Sai Prasanna filed a complaint stating that unidentified thieves had entered her house while she was asleep with only a mesh door closed. The culprits stole her gold chain and ₹5,000 in cash. Acting on the complaint, SP Sudheer Ramnath Kekan, IPS, directed the police teams to investigate. CCTV footage from the area revealed that habitual offender Kotla Muthyal Rao was present in the vicinity. Upon tracking him to Dargah Tanda, police apprehended him, and during interrogation, he confessed to the crime.

Kotla Muthyal Rao, son of Ramaswamy, is a 36-year-old daily wage worker at a dumping yard. He resides in Dargah Tanda, Eedulapusapalli, Mahabubabad, and is originally from Vikalangula Colony, Palvancha, Bhadradri Kothagudem. He has a history of thefts in Mahabubabad, Khammam, Bhadradri Kothagudem, and Bhadrachalam and had previously been jailed for similar offenses. Muthyal Rao admitted to stealing a bicycle and the gold chain after struggling financially. The recovered items include a bicycle and a gold chain (Pustela Thadu), with a total estimated worth of ₹2,12,000. For their swift action, Mahabubabad SP Sudheer Ramnath Kekan, IPS, commended CI Pendya Devender, CCS SIs Sk Taheer Baba, B. Gopi, Town SIs B. Vijay Kumar, K. Shiva, and their teams for successfully solving the case.
