In the New Year, the President and Coordinator of the Tribal Ashram School Contract Teachers’ Association, Guguloth Veeranna, urged the government to ensure monthly salaries for contract teachers and bring light to their lives. He emphasized that for the past 20 years, teachers have been working under the Green Channel system and have requested that their salaries be paid on the 1st of every month.
He also appealed to the Chief Minister to regularize all contract teachers in Tribal Ashram schools, following the model adopted for other departments. Veeranna expressed hope that 2025 would bring a positive change in the lives of contract teachers and requested the Telangana Chief Minister’s support in this regard.
