In response to the declining demand for chicken due to concerns over the spread of bird flu, several poultry companies have stepped forward to support struggling chicken traders. Many people, who are accustomed to consuming meat daily, have stopped eating chicken, causing significant losses to poultry businesses. To address this, various chicken companies have set up stalls to attract the public and reassure them about the safety of consuming poultry products.

As part of this initiative, Venkateswara Hatcheries Pvt. Ltd., in collaboration with Venky’s Chicken, organized a free chicken distribution mela at Uppada Bus Stand Center in Pithapuram. The event aimed to dispel fears about bird flu and encourage people to resume eating chicken. Speaking to the media, branch manager Durga Prasad stated that, according to the World Health Organization, heating eggs and chicken meat above 70 degrees Celsius kills the bird flu virus, making it completely safe for consumption. He assured the public that eating properly cooked chicken poses no health risks. During the event, over 2,000 people in Pithapuram received free chicken and eggs, with organizers hoping to restore public confidence in poultry products and support the industry in overcoming the crisis.
